    Here we are again! In this super funny lesson, you are going to learn the name of colors and clothes in Italian! Graziana really pushed herself beyond the limit to shoot this video, so don’t miss it: you’ll crack up!

    Italian CLOTHES

    N.B. For clothes that have two “pieces” (scarpe, pantaloni, guanti, collant, stivali, calze EXCEPT FOR il bikini) you can use the expression “un paio di…“.

    As far the size goes…

    TAGLIA is the word used to talk about the size of clothes, instead NUMERO is used to talk about the size of shoes!

    COLORS in Italian

    • ROSA
    • BLU
    • BIANCO
    • GIALLO
    • VERDE
    • ROSSO
    • ARANCIONE
    • CELESTE
    • MARRONE
    • VIOLA
    • BORDEAUX
    • GRIGIO
    • NERO

    BE CAREFUL!!!

    Some colors change both in gender and number, some change only in number and other are invariable.

    1) BIANCO, ROSSO, NERO, GIALLO, GRIGIO end in  -o, so they change both in gender and number.

    Example:

    il maglione bianco – la gonna rossa – i pantaloni gialli – le scarpe nere

    2) ARANCIONE, VERDE, CELESTE e MARRONE end in -e, so they change only in number and not in gender.

    Example:

    il maglione arancione – la gonna verde – i pantaloni celesti – le scarpe marroni

    3) BLU, VIOLA, ROSA and BORDEAUX are invariable.

    Example:

    il maglione blu – la gonna viola – i pantaloni rosa – le scarpe bordeaux
